We Care About Your Privacy Your privacy is important to us. NCGR does not sell or share any of your personal information with anyone. Please see below for more detailed information. Cookies Only the shopping aspect of the NCGR Website uses cookies (pieces of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user). This cookie is necessary to maintain the contents of your shopping basket. If you do not load a shopping session, no cookie will be created. No personal information is stored in this temporary cookie. MIVA Merchant, NCGR's shopping software, maintains a shopper's Session_ID using a session cookie that is stored on your machine. This Session_ID links you to your Shopping Basket. Each time a page is loaded, MIVA Merchant reads this cookie and keeps your shopping basket current. This is our only use of cookies on our site. Online Membership Registration/Renewal, Conference Registration and Other Online Forms These items require us to maintain appropriate information in a database for use in distributing publications and communications to you. These will be used only for In-House purposes to administer the appropriate programs, and may reside in an organizational database. We will not distribute or sell any personal information provided from these forms to another company or person for their use. Log Files NCGR does keep log files. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Newsgroups and E-Mail Announcements If a user wishes to subscribe to any of our e-mail newsgroups, we ask only for an e-mail address. It is understood that if you subscribe that you are of legal age to be receiving such e-mails and are not breaking any local, state, federal or country laws in your area. If you are not of legal age, it is understood that your parents have subscribed to this service for you or that you have done so with their express permission. We do not link these Newsgroup and Announcement e-mail addresses to any personally identifiable information. Users who no longer wish to receive our e-mail newsletter may opt-out of receiving these communications by following the UNSUBSCRIBE instructions included in the joining e-mail and in all submissions to the newsgroup or e-mail announcement.
