Is Online Shopping Secure?
Yes. Our online shopping uses a secure server. We are using MIVA
Merchant as our online shopping engine. It is a highly reputable
on-line shopping product with a strong record for security issues. Once
you begin the Checkout process and have confirmed that the items you
want to buy are in your Shopping Basket, you will be in a SECURE mode
for shopping. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator should
show a padlock in the locked position at the bottom of your screen.
Other browsers may use a similar scheme to display your presence on a
secure site. This will help you visually verify that you are on a

Do Cookies Need to Be Enabled to Order?
Yes. MIVA Merchant, NCGR's shopping software, maintains a shopper's
Session_ID using a session cookie that is stored on your machine. This
Session_ID links you to your Shopping Basket. Each time a page is
loaded, MIVA Merchant reads this cookie and keeps your shopping basket
shopping item information are stored in this cookie.
If you have cookies disabled in your browser, MIVA Merchant will try to
read the Session_ID from an expected cookie file. Since MIVA Merchant
won't be able to read the cookie, it simply creates a New Session_ID,
and assigns a New, Empty Basket. This could be a problem, as you will
continually find an empty basket.
You may freely browse our store without having to
enable cookies. However, if you wish to shop online on the NCGR site,
you must temporarily enable Cookies or select appropriate "trust"
functions in your browser software to accept cookies for the NCGR
website. Refer to your browser's help file for information on changing

What are the Shipping and Handling Charges?
Shipping and Handling are calculated on the order total of physical
items being sent. Memberships, Conference Registrations and other soft
goods are not included in the shipping and handling calculation.
Tape orders can take up to 4 weeks to be received. This is because we
do not stock copies of our tapes, and they are made to order. We are
working to make this process more efficient by digitizing our tape
library. Very soon we will be offering CD’s instead of tapes,
which will allow us to fill your order more quickly. Sometime in 2007,
we will also be offering our lectures as an MP3 download, so you can
receive your lecture as soon as you pay for it. It is our desire to
make this process more efficient for our customers. (Top)
Are Rush Orders Possible?
We are sorry, at this time we are not setup to handle rush orders or
faster turnarounds than our standard delivery of 7-10 business days. (Top)
How are Taxes Calculated?
Items are shipped from Massachusetts. Under current internet commerce
law we must charge taxes on items purchase in the same state from which
they are shipped. Thus items bought from Massachusetts residents will
be charged a state sales tax, currently 5% of the ordered hard good
items. Taxes will not be applied to Memberships or Conference
Registrations or other soft goods offered.
Will My Information Be Kept Private?
Yes, NCGR will use the information provided with your order only for
purposes of completing your order with the exception of Memberships and
Conference Registrations. Those items require us to maintain
appropriate information in a database for use in distributing
publications and communications to you. These will be used only for
In-House purposes and will not be distributed or sold to another
