I began my work as a professional astrologer almost thirty years ago, and thus far the journey has been life-transforming. Part of my quest has led me to write, and in the past seventeen years I’ve written, edited or contributed to 29 astrology books, annuals and anthologies. Among these, Astrology: Woman to Woman, Astrology & Your Child, and the Llewellyn Sun Sign and Moon Sign books are probably the best known. Other writing projects have included newspaper and magazine columns on or about astrology, in addition to work that’s appeared online for a variety of applications. My feature column for The Mountain Astrologer - “Astrology News” – has provided an opportunity for me to stay up to date about developments in the world of astrology, and astrology in the world.  I’ve also conceptualized and written the text for four astrological report writer software programs. As a teacher, I’ve created ongoing classes in astrology from beginning to advanced levels and have enjoyed working as a mentor for several astrologers in their early professional practice. From local and regional lectures and presentations to international astrological conferences, I’ve presented over 1000 classes and workshops.

Over time, it’s also been important for me to give back to the astrological community. On local levels, I was a Charter Member and held several offices for the Oklahoma NCGR. Later, I was Publicity Director for the San Diego Astrological Society. As a member of the AFAN Steering Committee, on the Advisory Board for AFAN, and the Advisory Board for NCGR, there have been opportunities to work on behalf of astrology. I was the Editor of the AFAN Newsletter from 1992 – 1997, and have served on the Board of Advisors for Kepler College since its early formation.  In addition, I served on the UAC Board from 1999 - 2001, and I was one of the team of organizers who made UAC happen from 1995 – 2002. It was my great honor to be Emcee for the opening of both UAC ’98 and UAC’02.  Beyond my work in astrology, I am also active in state and local politics in Connecticut. In my “free” time, gardening helps to keep me grounded, while singing and performing in local chorales and theater productions keeps my wings aflutter.
