Joseph Polise is an astrological teacher and consultant He began his study of astrology while completing his B.A.degree in Philosophy /Classics at Northern Illinois University and then became formally involved with NCGR (Chicago Chapter). In the mid-90s he was elected Vice-President and Program Director of NCGR Chicago and also started to work through the NCGR educational curriculum and testing program, earning the NCGR Level IV consulting certification (1998). During this time he was a consulting astrologer and teacher at the oldest metaphysical shop in Chicago, while also gaining valuable experience as a college English instructor and community organizer. Joe continues in his involvement and support for the NCGR . He began serving on their national Education Committee (1999), and actively participated in the writing the revised curriculum and study guide (2003). Locally, he mentored other astrology students in the Education Program and proctored many testing dates. Joseph is currently Education Director for the N.I.NCGR as well as Vice President and Event Director for Chicago's Friends of Astrology ('05) where he has helped to build the FOA's 3000 + astrological library and organize educational seminars. In these capacities, he feels fortunate to be able to help real astrology thrive on the grass roots level. |
